Army Nursing Officer Turned Wedding Photographer
I’m a Sydney-based photographer specialising in wedding and family photography services in Sydney and beyond.
Before becoming a professional wedding photographer I spent many years working as an Army Nursing Officer in war-torn areas, like Afghanistan, where I helped people through the worse days of their lives. I found the work incredibly rewarding but I was also profoundly affected by the sadness and tragedy of what I saw. When I left those areas I wanted to immerse myself in the complete opposite of what I had experienced, so I set about capturing the gentle and beautiful side of life through photography.
There’s something so magical about spending an entire day with a bride and groom on their wedding day. I also found my background lends itself beautifully to wedding photography:
- I’m organised, meticulous and leave nothing to chance so you can relax and be confident knowing that one of the most important days of your life is in capable hands.
- Working with people of all ages and backgrounds has given me an exceptional ability to put anyone at ease, whatever the situation. When you are comfortable you are present in the moment, which is perfect for lovely, natural shots.
- My well-developed sense of intuition and keen observation skills mean I am attuned to seeing and feeling what’s going on around me. This enables me to shoot from the heart and not miss those precious ‘real’, intimate and often fleeting moments.
My aim is to make your special day joyful and stress-free and I strive to create a highly personalized experience, both before and after your wedding day.
