Erin and Tanner were Canadians living and working in Sydney for the year. So unlike many Australian engagement sessions it was important to both of them that the city of Sydney was somehow highlighted in their engagement shoot. Therefore, an engagement shoot around Sydney Harbour sounded like a great plan. The weather was a perfect summer’s afternoon and the sunset was sensational with the Harbour Bridge in the background.
We started our photoshoot at Bradley’s Head Amphitheatre. This is my favourite photoshoot location in Sydney. It is the perfect spot late afternoon till early evening and includes a beautiful grass tiered hill, a large concrete wharf overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and a small beach and rocky head with a small lighthouse. At night you even have all the city lights and Sydney Opera House in the backdrop.
We finished the photoshoot at night at the The Rocks, which is an ideal location for a night photoshoot. Having the variety of two locations gave the couple a great variety of images to take home with them to Canada.
