Damien and Kristen’s wedding proved that fairy tales do come true if you marry your best friend on one the world’s most beautiful islands.

Lord Howe Island, a world heritage listed island, is a true destination island weddings location. A paradise that really has to be seen to be believed. It’s like stepping into a postcard. The turquoise waters and sub-tropical landscape make it a photographer’s dream and the perfect location for couples to experience a more relaxed and unique wedding.

Kristen and Damien chose a unique spot to experience their ‘First Look’, a secluded old cemetery nestled within the rainforest, which allowed them to privately connect and soak up the quiet surroundings and pose for a few intimate pictures before the ceremony at Lovers Lookout.

I took some great fun photos at this wedding. From Kristen arriving at the ceremony with her maid of honour on a pair wicker chairs strapped to the back of a ute, to a bit of bridal party fun on the 8th Hole of the Lord Howe Island Golf Club before the reception.
