Rainforest Wedding – Mount Keira

When Luke returned to Australia from his deployment as an Army medic he was a broken man – both physically and emotionally. During his painful recovery Luke met Jess and she soon reignited his soul and passion for life. Three years on and I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding in the beautiful, serene rainforest at Mount Keira, near Wollongong.

It was an amazing location and an incredibly touching ceremony between two people deeply in love who’ve experienced a tough emotional journey together. Jessica and her bridesmaids arrived in two stylish 1940’s Buicks and then Jessica’s mum walked her down the aisle to a beautiful string quartet.

After a moving service conducted by the military padre I was able to take advantage of the picturesque rainforest setting and capture some terrific unique shots of the bridal party. Of course, no wedding day is complete without a little drama. The bride discovered a leech on her as she left the rainforest and the groom split his pants as he got into the bridal car on his way to the reception!
