The best time to start getting your own family photos is when your kids are young. This way you with have a record of their changing personality, the way your family looks, and your interactions together. This time goes by too quickly and before you know it they are teenagers with the unique challenges that that can bring.

Young children can often  be a lot to handle. As someone who was a nurse for 17 years I have had plenty of experience working with young children. It’s for this reason I choose to specialise photographing families with young children. I can still remember back to my childhood where having having photos was a chore. These family sessions are anything but that. The idea is to get your family to interact naturally in a park environment and capture the magic more organically than a boring studio session.
