Gibson Beach at sunset
I offer small group Great Ocean Road photography workshops for those of you keen to explore all that the Great Ocean Road & Otways region has to offer. Depending on the time of year depends on our choice of locations. Our February workshop will focus on seascapes, waterfalls in our July workshop, and a little bit of everything on our September workshop. Unlike other operators of photography tours in the region, each tour of 3 tours is a completely unique experience, allowing participants to truely explore different elements of the region. All of our tours visit the absolute highlights of the region – The Twelve Apostles & Hopetoun Falls.
Group Size: Maximum of 4 – 5 workshop participants
Skill Level: Suitable for photographers of all skill levels
Each of our tours leave at 10am from outside the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Geelong (close to Geelong train station). Geelong is approximately 1 hour by train from Melbourne.
Photographing The Great Ocean Road is always a challenge. Unpredictable weather, stormy oceans and stunning rainforests all create the perfect base on which a landscape photographer has to be most creative.

About your Instructor
Hi, I’m Samantha. I’ve had over 15 years of instructional experience. I also spent over 4 years researching the Great Ocean Road & Otways region for my book entitled A Photographers Guide – The Great Ocean Road & Otways.
I’ve been working as a professional photographer for more than 10 years. Initially, I only photographed weddings, family portraits, and travel photography. After COVID I added landscape photography to my skillset with the research for the book.
I started my life as an Army Nurse and served for 17 years in that capacity. My military experience has given me the capacity to plan and execute well organised tours and the ability to pivot when changes are required.
Meals
All of our accommodation venues have kitchens. We will be taking trips to the supermarket when required so that you have the opportunity to organise breakfast plus a few lunches and dinners. I have a small car fridge with me, to allow us to bring a small amount of supplies from one location to the next. There will also be the opportunity to have some breakfasts, lunches and dinners whilst we are out. All dining in locations have casual dress policies therefore there is no need to bring any special clothes for dining out.
